In 1982, Wayne Nichols opened Wayne Corporation. Wayne was a third generation electrician.

He had been working in the electrical contracting field since 1969. He specialized in security systems and alarm monitoring when he opened Wayne Corporation.

Over the next forty years, the company grew and evolved into the electronic security company that it is today. Wayne Corporation changed its name to Wayne Electric & Alarms in 2002 to emphasize that electrical contracting was still an integral service.
